2)       What are the basic admissions requirements?

Our basic admissions requirements are: a minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 a minimum score of 450 on the GMAT exam 2+ years of supervisory work experience a TOEFL (if required) score of 237 Computer Based, 580 Paper Based, or 92 Internet Based  We also require that you send the following supporting documentation to the Graduate Business Offices: Resume 2 letters of recommendation Official GMAT scores

3)       What are the general admissions requirements for an international student?

For international applicants, the same general admissions requirements as stated above apply. 4)       How do I know if the Graduate Business Office has received all of my supporting documentation for the application process?

Unfortunately BroncoDirect does not show if our offices have received your supporting documentation, therefore you should call our offices at (909) 869-2363 or send an e-mail to Sandy Rohr at slrohr@csupomona.edu to ensure that all of your supporting documentation have reached us. However, if we are missing one or all of your supporting documents, we will inform you through mail or e-mail which items are missing.

5)        Where can I send my supporting documents to?

7)        How can I check the status of my application?

When you complete your application for admission, you are given access to information on BroncoDirect (https://broncodirect.csupomona.edu) where you can log into our system. You will need to claim your account in order to have access to BroncoDirect. Visit http://www.csupomona.edu/~ehelp/idm/account-claiming.html for instructions on how to claim your account. Once you are logged in on the right hand side there is a link under Admissions called “View my Application Status.” This link will enable you to view where your application is currently standing in the admissions process. 8)       If I attended Cal Poly Pomona as an undergraduate student, how long does it take to complete my MBA?

Although a significant amount of prerequisite courses may be waived if you completed your undergraduate business degree at Cal Poly Pomona, completion time for the MBA program, regardless of your undergraduate institution, will vary on what specific courses you have completed during your undergraduate coursework.  In addition to our program requirements (48 units), we also require that students complete a series of eleven prerequisites in order to start on any 600-level Graduate Business core courses.  We can waive these prerequisites if you have taken similar coursework in your undergraduate institution based on three criteria: First, that a grade of “B” or better has been received for each undergraduate equivalent course. Second, the equivalent coursework has been completed within the last seven years. And lastly, that when two equivalent courses are required, both courses have been taken. Therefore completion time for the MBA program may range from as little as 6 quarters to 3 years, depending on what prerequisites are waived and the pace at which you decide to take your courses.

9)       Do you offer any general information sessions about your program?

	For our on-campus General MBA, Career MBA, and MSBA Programs, we do not offer any information sessions.  However, you are welcome to contact the Graduate Office or one of our Graduate Advisors for more information about our programs at 909-869-2363.

10)   What are the major differences between an MBA, PMBA, and an MSBA?

At Cal Poly Pomona, we offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of working professionals:   The General MBA:  provides a student with a broad-based business curriculum.  The program provides education for managerial positions in business, industry, and government.  The degree program also enables those students already in responsible positions to update their skills for advancement in the organizations where they are currently employed.  The Career MBA: provides students an opportunity to concentrate in a particular area of business such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Entrepreneurship, Information Management, and International Business. The Master’s of Science in Business Administration with an Option in Information Systems Auditing:  is provided for business decision makers, information systems and technical specialists and managers, accounting professionals or others who wish to pursue a career in information systems auditing, information systems security, and computer forensics. Regardless of what program you decide to choose, all of our programs are AACSB accredited.

11)   When are your classes offered?

	All of our programs are catered towards working professionals, therefore all of our Graduate Business Administration (GBA) courses are offered one night a week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:50 p.m.

12)   What is the general course sequence for a typical MBA, PMBA or MSBA student?

	All of our Graduate Business Programs consist of the following format: Prerequisite Courses Core Courses, Elective Courses, and a Terminal Option (Business Research Project, Master’s Thesis, or Comprehensive Exam).

13)   How do I know if I can waive any of the prerequisite classes?

Prerequisite courses are required to promote success in the core classes.  These requirements will be determined upon review of the student’s academic transcripts.  Completion of prerequisites is not required prior to admission into the program.  However, prerequisite courses must be completed prior to enrollment in the 600-level core courses.  A student may have prerequisites waived if they meet the following criteria, however we do suggest that you meet with one of our advisors to ensure that you may waive prerequisite classes:  1)  A grade of “B” or better has been received for each undergraduate equivalent course.  2)  Equivalent coursework has been completed in the past seven years. 3)  When two equivalent courses are required both courses must have been taken.   4)  When a student can demonstrate "Subject Matter Proficiency."  Please contact a Graduate Advisor for further details on this process.

14)   How many units does it take to graduate from the MBA program?

	The actual program consists of 48 quarter units (12 classes).  However, we do require our students to complete our prerequisites before starting on any 600-level Graduate Business core courses.

15)   Do you offer any scholarships or  financial aid for the program?
